چکیده

Background Sjögren’s Syndrome (SS) is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease characterized by involvement of the exocrine glands in addition to wide spectrum manifestations. At present, conventional biomarkers do not respond unresolved needs regarding diagnosis, stratification phenotypes and appropriate effective therapies [1] . SS an orphan new could constitute potential future therapeutic targets [2] Objectives The purpose this study was carry out exploratory analysis six serum saliva samples from suspected patients identify protein distinguish who were diagnosed with those not. Methods We selected cohort 199 consecutive attended rheumatology department for SS: 3 met classification criteria 2002 and/or 2016 rheumatologist did meet finally diagnosed. Serum collected centrifuged at 1800g, divided into aliquots stored -80ºC. Saliva cold prevent degradation proteins, 1800g 4ºC A semiquantitative expression performed using “Proteome Profiler Human XL Cytokine Array Kit” arrays R&D system that detects 105 proteins containing interleukins, chemokines, inflammatory factors other soluble proteins. Analytes optical densities quantified Image J software. content analytes compared between non-SS unpaired Student´s t test measure odds analyte happening one group same another (OR: ratio) shown. Statistical Microsoft Excel P values ≤0.05 defined as significant 0.1< > 0.05 considered borderline. Results found increased levels CD14 (OR:1.21; =0.033), EGF (OR:1.18; =0.050), IP-10 1.23; =0.090) Pentraxin (OR:1.32; =0.095) VEGF (OR:1.41; =0.091) criteria, diagnosed, although only case EGF, statistical significance reached. In samples, we significantly ICAM1 1.67; =0.019), IL-6 (OR:1.20; =0.042) IL-19 (OR:1.51; =0.039) patient criteria. did. Conclusion syndrome presented higher serum, well decreased ICAM1, IL-6, saliva, when It necessary confirm these results larger patients. References [1]V.C. Differential Expression of Circulating miRNA-103 in Women with and without Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Background and Aims: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) has a largely unknown etiology and is a common heterogeneous endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age, characterized by polycystic ovaries, hyperandrogenism, insulin resistance, and chronic anovulation. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, noncoding RNA sequences that negatively regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level. miR...

Association of Sjögrens Syndrome in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis Virus Infection: A Population-Based Analysis

OBJECTIVE The association between Sjögren's syndrome (SS) and chronic hepatitis virus infection is inconclusive. Hepatitis B (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections are highly prevalent in Taiwan. We used a population-based case-control study to evaluate the associations between SS and HBV and HCV infections. MATERIALS AND METHODS We identified 9,629 SS patients without other concomitant...
